Scott McClain MA, MC, LPC, CPE

Scott McClain is a ordained minister of the Gospel, mentor, counselor, and educator. Scott has a Masters Degree in Counseling from Houston Graduate School of Theology, a Masters Degree in Sociology from the University of Oklahoma with a minor in Education. In addition, Scott has completed 4 CPE units from the Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas where he served a one-year CPE residency working with young adults who were terminally ill. He received his Texas counseling license 2001.

Scott currently resides in Baton Rouge, LA and serves as the Senior Area Director for Young Life. He has served the Young Life mission for 28 years. Scott is a research minded counselor who focuses on helping others develop healthy habits, discipline, new mindsets and lifestyles, which he believes can lead to true freedom, meaning, purpose, and vitality.

Scott has self-published two books: The Breakfast Club (a mindset book for young athletes) and his latest book which focuses on directed journaling called The Cross Journal. He also is developing a non-profit ministry that seeks to unite people in his community and abroad through creative writing workshops and live worship music. Big Water Collective
